Chapter Two

This chapter is going to be focused on written work and opinions.
Do you think there were lots of affairs during the second world war between Americans and French women? How many single French women had American fathered babies during occupation by the American and allied forces?

Do you think Jacques father was typical, in so much that he recognised his son and wanted to marry her?


How do you think Mr. Robson’s American family felt about Jacques? Did they welcome him with open arms?
